- We're one of the highest ranking dentists in derby
Meet our Calm & Caring Team
We invest in continually training our staff on the latest technologies and best practices. Our inclusive, patient focused culture is what makes our team so special.

Dr Trishan Malhi
Hi, my name is Trishan but everyone in Derby knows me as Kenny. I have been a Dentist at Cavendish Dental Practice since 1997. I enjoy treating patients well and offering life-changing options.
I have a passion for Orthodontics, improving smiles using different brace options. I worked at the Royal Derby Hospital for 10 years and hold a Diploma in Primary Care Orthodontics. There is no greater reward than seeing someone when they see their new smile for the first time!
In 2003 I qualified as a provider of Intravenous Sedation for patients who have dental anxiety or phobias and need extra help with their treatment. In some cases, when fear is holding them back, sedation is their only option.
For some patients, missing teeth are their main problem. Not everyone is ready to accept wearing a denture or living with gaps in their smile. I qualified in Implantology in 2017 and am able to offer dental implants as a long-term solution.
Outside of Dentistry I like playing golf and watching Liverpool play football.
My aim is to continue to improve our service to patients, by motivating and developing the team at Cavendish Dental Practice.

Harpreet Saduera
Hey! I’m Harps and I have been a dentist at Cavendish since 2002 – “time flies when you are having fun” as the saying goes, and my years certainly have flown!
I have a deep passion for dentistry and patient care and have maintained this through ongoing professional development in many courses, most notable being an MSc in Restorative Aesthetic Dentistry.
I have a keen interest in clinical education and have been an educational supervisor for Foundation dentists with the East Midlands Deanery since 2005.
I take an active part in community dental health programmes where I deliver health education to primary schools and mentor 6th form students in preparation for university entry into Dentistry.
Away from dentistry, I enjoy socialising with friends and family; an evening spent laughing over a good meal is my favourite past time. I enjoy most sports, as does my family, so this forms a big part of our life outside of work. My idea of relaxation is sitting with a good book or listening to some music in the sun!

Poonam Chitkara
As a clinician, I am passionate about providing efficient dental care to the highest possible standards. I am a member of the faculty of dental surgery of the Royal college of Surgeons, and have interests in orthodontics and Implant dentistry.

I balance work with a refreshing outdoor activity like golf and enjoying spending valuable family time, to lighten my daily life challenges and generate happiness in the current climate.
I always aim to ensure my patients have a pleasant dental experience, and feel calm and comfortable about their dental journey.

David Paterson
Hi, I’m David Paterson and I’ve been working at Cavendish Dental Practice since November 2008. When I first started working here I had no experience of Dentistry; now I help to integrate the Foundation Dentists and train the new nurses. As well as my NEBDN Dental qualification, I have further qualifications in Dental Radiography which means I can take and analyse radiographs and Dental Sedation which means that I get to look after extremely nervous patients who are “asleep” while they get their teeth fixed.
I enjoy assisting Dr Malhi when he is placing Implants. This proves that with hard work and application, anyone can do anything they want to! Outside of work I spend my time watching television programmes and playing video games. I’m pretty easy-going but I prefer action films, sci-fi series and most live sports, in particular football and NFL.
I also really enjoy my food and can spend all day thinking about it, whether it be cooking for myself and my family or visiting restaurants to try all different types of cuisine. This comes in handy as I use my holidays from work to travel the world.

Gemma Robison
My name is Gemma. I started working here in 2018 and qualified in October 2020. I have learnt and developed many skills when training at Cavendish. Inside of work I like to keep Dr Malhi organised and have done so for a couple of years. This has given me the opportunities to learn new procedures relevant to the job. I am proud to have progressed so much in my job and particularly enjoy assisting with patients smile transformations.
It is very rewarding to see patients attend the practice that are nervous or not happy with their smile, and then to see them leave with so much more confidence. Outside of work I love to go to music gigs and festivals. I spend my weekends going to for brunch with my friends and spending time with my family. I also enjoy swimming and keeping fit in my free time.

We love walking and watching Netflix together!
